Why Get Involved?
We invite you to become an important part of the For the Kids Auction for the following reasons:
• Learn first-hand about the life-changing programs and services provided by CHEO that benefit children and youth with special needs.
• Increase your positive community image.
• Build awareness of your product or service.
• Meet new people.
• Experience the positive effects of giving.
This event is a unique opportunity for you to partner with other community minded organizations and showcase your products and/ or services. This high-profile event attracts corporate and community leaders who are interested in building trustworthy and transparent relationships with local businesses. Last year, For the Kids featured more than 300 silent auction items and raised $115,000 for Development and Rehabilitation at CHEO, let’s make this year another huge success!
Other ways to get involved
Gifts in Kind:
Every year we reach out to the community for donations of products, services and merchandise. Please consider donating something as simple as a gift certificate to your business or as extravagant as a vacation package. The sky’s the limit and creativity is encouraged!
The following gift-in-kind donations are popular with our event participants:
• Hotel/Travel/Golf Packages
• Movie/Event /Concert/Game Tickets
• Gift Cards for restaurants, spas, retail outlets, salons
• Children’s toys and clothing store gift cards
The CHEO Foundation would be happy to pick up your generous donation(s) so please contact Anita Almstedt at email@example.com to learn more.
Development and Rehabilitation at CHEO
By bringing services, therapies and school together for children with physical, developmental and associated behavioural needs, the Development and Rehabilitation at CHEO is helping kids like Elijah live their best life. Through recognizing the specific needs of each child, therapists, educators and clinicians can develop custom approaches that encourage children to reach and surpass goals that even their family thought might be impossible.
CHEO’s DEVELOPMENT and rehabilitation / OCTC School
The OCTC School is an early intervention educational and therapy program providing full day educational instruction in English and French for approximately 30 students in the kindergarten years. All students are registered clients of Development and Rehabilitation at CHEO (formerly Ottawa children’s treatment center) and have a physical disability and other associated complex needs.
